"blindsight"

Here's a bit that's fits right up there with opening of consiousness.

This man can "see" without using his eyes. I've heard of this phenomenon before.

I even remember it being discussed in the Seth Material.

Sunburst Meditation

About twenty years ago, I sort of inadvertently invented what I call my "sunburst meditation".

I loved it because it seemed to fit all my values, yet it was a simple concept I hadn't heard before. Probably inspired by Thaddeus Golas' eminently practical concept in "The lazy mans guide to enlightenment" that "When you learn to love hell you will be in heaven".

Essentially, I would envision a glowing sphere in my minds eye, But unlike like a sun or star it did not only send out its love in the form of glowing energy, but was a kind of energy magnet as well.

Conceptually any energy could be sent its way, and because it was vibrating at such a high level, (loving everything that came to it) by the time any energy got to it, it would automatically be vibrating so high as to be pure love.

I saw this as not only a meditation focus, but also kind of psychic shield, because I could imagine myself in it or as it. People could send me negative vibes and instead being effected by them or even "bouncing off", I could absorb them and elevate that energy, and send it back out in positive ways. Simply stated; I could LOVE them.

When I invented it, I had a deep and satisfying meditation on it. Leaving me in a surprisingly good mood considering the dark time I was going through. The very next day I was with a group of friends who knew nothing about it, (at the time I didn't share things like this) we were in a perfect strangers house.

I was absently leafing through a home decor catalogue on his coffee table when I remarked about a beautiful gold sun shaped convex mirror (they are popular now, but at the time I'd never seen them before) in the catalog, of course it had instantly reminded me of my meditation.

Our host responded a bit disdainfully: "Oh you like that?" obviously he didn't think much of it, but he promptly got up and left the room, returning a moment later with the very same mirror, still in its bubble wrap. "Here" he said, giving me the mirror. "I work for that magazine, and we get returns all the time. I was gonna put it on the side walk, but if you like it..."

The sunburst mediation has been with me ever since. In fact, lately its grown and taken on even more dimensions. Which I will post about soon.

But for now, I'd love to know; Do you have a meditation or focus point that has made an impact on you? I'd love to hear about it!

Your Brain On TV

Talk about opening up to new dimensions, I am VERY curious to see what this new technology brings us, and how we will interpret the data we get.

Stay tuned...

Difficult to Describe...

Language shapes our reality in ways we don't often consider. How do you talk about something there are no words for, in fact, how do you even think about it?

A simple example is to consider that there is only one word in English to describe love, yet in other languages there are words that clarify and classify the type of love (parent/child, platonic and romantic, etc)

The extra descriptors facilitate the discussion and even the mental exploration of what love is, they allow the concepts to be refined and combined. The language creates not only a way of communicating, but also a mental matrix for internal dialogue as well.

As an artist and writer, I want to help create a new vocabulary, one robust enough to describe the nuances of human experience and yet simple enough to be useful. I, of course, want to focus on areas that describe experiences and events at the edges of our reality.

I REALLY don't know what this language would look or sound like, but I do know that it is going to need to reflect multidimensional and subjective realities. To me this sounds like something that must go beyond words, it seems that it almost must use a combination of a wide array of symbols and media to even approach describing these subjects.

I also think it will need a new kind of "objectivity", which is simply an understanding and acceptance that all reality/perspectives are both uniquely subjective AND valid.

So you can imagine my excitement when I stumbled across this site today, "Xenolinguistics" where their stated purpose is: "evolving language in the psychedelic sphere". Just the idea that other people are considering the concept that we need more from our language in these areas seems to me as another pointer that our mass consciousness is opening up.

If you belive in demons...

Ok, here's one from a truly unexpected source.

Here we have an interesting viewpoint about UFOs. Stephen Yulish PhD presents his information as evidence that UFOs are demonic spiritual activity.

While I truly appreciate the effort to consider event's in a spiritual light, I don't agree with his conclusions.

As you know from my stated beliefs, I believe that iconography like demons or angels are really just belief matrix's that we use to filter the universe around us into our own subjective reality.

While I fully acknowledge they have validity for people who believe in them, I am convinced that like all other classifications, they are of our own manufacture.

So while Dr. Yulish sees this through the lens of 'god' and evil, I see this as yet another event that pushes our normal reality, and yet another desperate grasp at a familiar set of ideas to explain it.

Take a look and see if you get the same thing.

Hunting the Paranormal "Objectively"

So here is an interesting story about clinical psychologist Thomas Rabeyron, a very diligent bloke, who really wants to get to the bottom of all this paranormal stuff.

It's a good case study for my point of view, because while his intentions are there, he's still gonna try to shoe horn alternate realities into a scientific, "objective" study.

His big complaint is that the phenomena all seems to vanish when he studies it "objectively":
"All we know is that in similar experiments, whenever the cameras were around, the occupants were more comfortable and the phenomena came to an end."
I propose that it's not the camera's that inhibit observation of the activity, but the attitude of the researchers. Note how he's already limited the possible explanations, and has discounted his own contribution in all of them:
"The only explanations for this would be that the occupants were faking it and didn't want to be caught out, that there was some kind of psychological explanation that was canceled out by the presence of the cameras, or that the phenomenon was caused by a real poltergeist that didn't want to be caught on film."

Its funny how scientists keep holding to the premise that something can be viewed objectively, even though science itself has proven that the act of observing changes the results.

Assume for a moment that its this researcher's own biases that are limiting his ability to observe the phenomena, what do you think he could do to be successful?

Does it have to be a space ship?

I am often stuck that people seem to have stopped questioning what unidentified objects are and only debate if they exist.

Remember when it came out that Dennis Kucinich had seen a UFO? The Congressman had to defend to the media and the masses that just because he had seen something; "Hey, it was UN-identified", that didn't automatically mean he believed in little green men.

The question these days is not "What is that light in the sky?" but more, "Is it an alien from another planet or the Air Force on secret maneuvers?". I find it interesting because I think both sides might be wrong.

What if these occurrences and experiences are not that simple? After all, it's easy to imagine a man from space, right? Even if he's a freaky looking person, he's still a person. He (or she,....or it) still put that space suit on one leg at a time. Climbed into a ship that used technology to travel across space as we know it and start a picnic, or maybe an invasion.

Think about it, all those concepts are totally familiar, humans have been getting in ships and landing and invading longer than anyone can remember. So really this "STRANGE" space alien thing is actually pretty well within our everyday frame of reference.

What if the idea of aliens visiting our plant is the "cover-up"? One that we manufacture ourselves, no conspiracy needed. What if these events are pushing the edges of our agreed upon reality and we haven't figured out how to interpret what we're seeing, so we're grasping at familiar ideas?

Here's some new footag
e that recently hit the news in the UK. Just for fun, consider for a moment; what if it really happened, and it's not a hoax, but neither is it space aliens, government testing nor an errant weather balloon...what else could this be?

"Ghost" on mainstream news

CNN covered this story about an apparition that apparently appeared on the security cameras at gas station awhile back.

It's the story that inspired a persistent idea that a part of this big "awakening" is that the mass consciousness seems willing to expand their awareness to include "evidence" of something unexplainable on mainstream media.

(I believe that humans are only one of endless varieties of consciousness, and that the only reason we aren't consciously aware of everyone else is that we're choosing to limit our perceptions to the "game" we think of as life).

What catches my attention here is that the reporter and interviewees have no conceptual framework to discuss about this apparition beyond referring to it as a "ghost" or "angel" .

Something tells me this is just the beginning, (not that it's anything new to have footage of something strange, but it IS new for a large news outfit like CNN to think its valid enough to cover it.) If I'm right and things start showing up, we're gonna need a new vocabulary that extends beyond religious iconography if we ever hope to understand our relationships with extra-dimensional beings.

Are you seeing eleven's too?

A few months ago, I started noticing that often when I looked at the clock, any clock, it was eleven after the hour.

At first I just brushed it off as some emergent effect of my schedule. But it started happening more and more frequently, and then my schedule changed, then my job changed, I even went on a long vacation. what did I see? eleven, eleven, eleven. WTF?

I told my husband about it. We googled, and it turns out I am not alone. There seem to be several theories around, but no definitive answer. For me they seem to appear randomly, and unrelated to my activity or thoughts, but some people have a different experience.

At this point, I must point one out to Doug at least once a day. I even started taking pictures.

Are you seeing eleven's?

My Operating Beliefs:

I list my beliefs because I believe that objectivity is a myth and that everyone can only see the world through their own "reality converter box".

Therefore, I feel answers lie in sharing our world views, not attempting to pretend they don't exist. Trusting that all points of view are equally valid.

We may never be able see things the exact same way, but variety is the spice of life, it may even be the point.

I believe...

consciousness, not matter, is the primary building block of our universe.

we are all fundamentally, immortal interconnected multidimensional energy beings that are focused, for the moment, on being human.

we all create and experience our own reality anew, every instant.

everything in our exterior reality are symbols we create to represent our inner psychic reality

all consciousness is limitless, and that the only reason we don't always see past the limits is that we're busy pretending there are limits, "playing" human and exploring that experience.

that consciousness creates consciousness, and each of our individual consciousness has ancestors and offspring we're not even aware of.

there is room for all religions. Regardless of what spiritual rituals, symbols, or deities speak to you, as long as you really believe in them, they're gonna work.

you can't do it wrong. Your experience is your experience, valid just the way it is. The only one who can judge it is you, and on that, I advise caution.

Groundswell

I'm starting this blog, because I feel compelled to. For the last several years I have felt my personal spiritual growth constantly accelerating. More recently, reality seems to be sending me little hints that a profound spiritual awakening is actually happening to the entire human race, and I'm supposed to blog about it.

My plan is simple, I will share with you insights and ideas that touch my spirit, as well as start a kind of "psychic trend watch", looking for "psychic clues" in the culture and in your comments that may point the way to whatever is next.

Weird calling, ain't it?
